Development Director at FamilyLink explains why Hope Packs make such a difference.

by | Jul 26, 2019

“Due to the increased intake of emergency placements recently, who have all been coming into foster care without anything other than the clothing on their backs, we are so grateful to receive these Hope Packs,” says Tiffany Verette, development director for FamilyLink Kids at Legacy Ranch who stopped by last week to restock their shelves with Hope Packs. “I wish I could fit more than 25 Hope Packs in my car––I will be back to get more very soon.”

When children are placed in a foster home during an emergency situation, they frequently arrive at a moment’s notice to an unfamiliar home with nothing other than the clothes they are wearing. Carrying Hope’s Hope Packs are changing this heartbreaking scenario, providing comfort and hope to children in a moment of crisis while meeting their immediate needs so foster parents can focus on bonding with the child rather than rushing to the store.
