Carrying Hope is distributing 1,000 Hope Packs in Texas for National Foster Care Month

by | May 2, 2021

Throughout May, which is National Foster Care Month, Carrying Hope is on a mission to transform the way 1,000 children enter the foster care system across the vast state of Texas.

This month marks the most wide-spread distribution in history for Carrying Hope, and we’ve been busy making and distributing 1,000 Hope Packs to all 11 DFPS Regions in Texas, from El Paso to Beaumont.

Here’s what Liliana Mata, Rainbow Room Coordinator of the Concho Valley in West Texas’ Region 9, had to say: “Thank you so much for the Hope Packs that were recently donated. Many times when children enter foster care, they enter with little to nothing and a common item is a trash bag to hold their few belongings. Hope Packs not only provide essential items for children when they need it most, but they also send the message to the children that they are worth more than a trash bag and that they matter. Thank you for all that you do!”
