It’s been another busy week of distributions at Carrying Hope, which has provided hundreds of Hope Packs to children across Texas who need them in recent days!
In the past week, we’ve distributed 60 Hope Packs and much-needed hygiene items to Partnerships for Children, provided Hope Packs to a half dozen Houston-area foster care agencies and shelters, given personalized Hope Packs to children living at Central Texas Table of Grace, and today we sent more than 100 Hope Packs out the door to Lonestar Social Services and to CPS in Bastrop. Thanks to all of our volunteers and supporters who make this work possible!
“Carrying Hope continues to be an amazing asset to Lonestar Social Services. We try to keep a wide range of ages of Hope Packs, as they contain everything needed for our kids in a perfect package. Not only do we utilize these packs to bring to emergency placements, but we also keep them on hand to supplement birthday presents. As we never know when a child might be placed and many times it is days away from their birthday. Our case managers also like to have them on hand in their vehicle as we are often transporting children unexpectedly and need a diaper, change of clothes, or a way to entertain, for example. They are a staple item for our foster agency to make sure that we can support our foster parents in caring for the children placed in their home. We cannot thank Carrying Hope enough for being this resource for our agency!” – Sara Wehring, compliance director for Lonestar Social Services
