Just learning about Carrying Hope? We wanted to tell those of you who are new here a little bit of background about Carrying Hope. Carrying Hope was founded by Kristin, right, a foster and adoptive mom of six, and Mauri, a CASA advocate and mom of three, in 2016 with a goal of providing children who are entering foster care with Hope Packs that contain all of the comfort items and essentials they need for their first 24-48 hours in a new home.
We do this because, in most cases, children who are entering foster care arrive at their new foster home, often on the most traumatic day of their lives, with nothing but the clothes on their backs or one or two items hastily shoved in a trash bag. We think they deserve better. We have offices in Austin and Houston and have some exciting expansions in the works for 2022!
