Host an Office-Wide Fundraising or Hope Pack Drive:During the holidays, if your office raises $1,500 or more for Carrying Hope or creates at least 20 Hope Packs, we will celebrate your accomplishment with a contactless doughnut-and-coffee thank you breakfast and a socially distant photo opportunity with Hope the Hedgehog, our adorable life-size mascot. We will also feature your company’s giving efforts on social media and on our blog. Click here to create a holiday corporate giving page for Carrying Hope. Once you set up the fundraising page, you can send the link out to employees and ask others to donate. You can also purchase Hope Packs directly from us for just $85 here.
Host a Most-Needed Items Drive:Carrying Hope has a list of most-needed items we use to fill our Hope Packs. We encourage companies looking for a way to give back to pick one or more of our most-needed items, set up bins in the office and ask employees to fill them. Large donations of most-needed items such as new, tags-on or still-packaged pajamas, stuffed animals and bottles goes a long way in helping Carrying Hope fulfill the needs of the foster children in our community. You may also ship items directly to Carrying Hope via our Amazon list. Find our most-needed items list here.
Encourage Employees to make a Hope Pack:Employees can get their families involved holiday giving by making a Hope Pack with their own child for another foster child the very same age. At Carrying Hope, we welcome and encourage kids to be part of the entire volunteer process, and we love seeing children exhibit kindness and selflessness as they handpick each item and imagine the joy it might bring to someone else. Plus, no one is a better expert at picking out things for kids than other kids. Once you’ve collected all of the Hope Packs, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will pick them up and take a photo to recognize your company’s giving efforts on social media. View and print supply lists here.
Sign up to make a special Holiday Hope Pack:Carrying Hope is in need of volunteers to make Holiday Hope Packs for children who will spend the holiday season in local foster homes.
