May is National Foster Care Month, and this month Carrying Hope will be spotlighting our various programs that benefit marginalized youth in care.
As an inclusive organization and LGBTQ+ ally, we strive to reflect the youth we serve by doing the following:
– Distributing gender-inclusive Hope Packs and filling requests from non-binary teens
– Including diverse books in our Hope Packs to better reflect today’s tween and teen experience
– Offering resource lists for LGBTQ+ foster youth and foster parents on our Carrying Hope website and on magnets included on each Hope Pack
