Upcoming Drives
In honor of our 7th anniversary of becoming a 501c3 nonprofit, Carrying Hope is splashing into summer with two very special events!
On Saturday, July 22, we’ll be hosting a fabulous pool party for some spectacular foster youth living in Houston-area residential treatment centers, shelters, and group homes. Then, on Tuesday, Aug. 1, we’ll be taking an additional 50 foster youth to Schlitterbahn New Braunfels for a fantastic day of food and fun! All children who attend Carrying Hope’s Summer Drive and Hope’s 7th Birthday Bash events will also leave with Hope Packs containing gift cards so they can shop for new school clothes to give them a little extra confidence as they enter the new school year!

2020 Annual Hope Pack Drive
PREVIOUS DRIVES:
Our 3rd Annual Hope Pack Drive was a two-city celebration, held in Austin on July 13, 2019 and in Houston on July 14, 2019.
With the Texas summer in full heat, there was no better way to celebrate than with an awesome pool party which included face painting, snowcones, birthday cake, and of course lots of swimming! Carrying Hope had an amazing time celebrating with the community and is so appreciative of all the support we had through sponsors and volunteers, including National Charity League, Inc., South Austin Wildflowers, Austin Allies, and The Charitable Crew! And our biggest thanks to both the Austin and Houston communities for believing in our cause and for all of the amazing donations, including 200 completed Hope Packs for children entering into foster care!

Thank you to all those that attended Carrying Hope’s 2nd Annual Citywide Hope Pack Drive! We loved seeing everyone from the community come out and enjoy all of the fun activities, including Carly’s Critter Camp with the awesome petting zoo, The Boogaloo Crew for their stilt walking and other activities, Kona Ice for the free snow cones and all of our wonderful volunteers that made the day run so fantastically smooth! Also a big thank you to Helping Hand Home for Children, Angel Hearts of Texas, and Foster Community for coming out and answering questions about foster children in Central Texas.

Our 2017 Hope Pack Drive was on Saturday July 22, 2017 at the Browning Hangar at Mueller
Our first annual Hope Pack Drive in 2017 collected a total of 500 Hope Packs! Our goal that year was to be able to provide a Hope Pack to each child that entered the foster care system in Travis County that year, and this first drive allowed us to meet that goal before the year ended! It was such a fun day and the start of a new summer tradition for Carrying Hope.
